Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable within the sales and distribution industry. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts receivable, including following up with the sales team on outstanding invoices, setting up efficient accounts receivable systems, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Implement and maintain efficient accounts receivable processes and procedures
- Set up and manage accounts receivable systems to streamline operations and enhance efficiency
- Process customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve any discrepancies
- Generate and distribute invoices to customers as needed
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and take appropriate actions to minimize outstanding balances
- Provide support during audits and month-end close processes
- Maintain proficiency in SAP FICO module and utilize it effectively in accounts receivable activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in accounts, with at least 3 years in a dedicated AR role
- Proven experience in the sales and distribution industry preferred
- Strong proficiency in SAP FICO module is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
