Summary Of Role & Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and entrepreneurial Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be a key member of the Anthesis North American Finance team. Our business is growing rapidly and in this exciting opportunity you will contribute to a wide variety of diverse and complex finance & accounting operations. These include multiple geographies; domestic and international operations; integration of acquisitions; input into the design and building of processes, systems and KPIs to expertly analyze and manage the business for sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining the accounts receivable aging for clients, receiving incoming client payments and entering cash receipts.
- Communicating with clients (verbally, via email, letter, or fax) to reconcile client accounts.
- Initiate and lead collection activities on past due accounts (calls, letters, and emails) and follow-up on all items.
- Process and send past due statements.
- Analyze accounts receivable information to determine priority and produce aging reports.
- Reconciling accounts receivable.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings and will be required to prepare various excel reports.
- Complete and submit vendor onboarding forms and processes.
- Create and/or revise invoices and sales receipts to clients (when required).
- Submit invoices through various client portals (when required).
- Responsible for such other duties and assignments which the company deems appropriate.
Key Requirements & Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
- 4+ years of professional accounting and credit/collections experience required.
- Strong financial and accounting skills and ability to develop and mentor direct reports
- IFRS and US GAAP knowledge
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to get stuck into the detail, roll up your sleeves and manage multiple priorities
- Effective time management and organisational skills. Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to a dynamic, fast moving and changing work environment.
- Proactive with the ability and confidence to use initiative.
- Organized, methodical, and analytical.
