Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk I to join our team, remotely. This role involves handling financial records, processing credit applications, and resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient and accurate processing of customer credit applications
  • Maintain up-to-date customer credit records
  • Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
  • Utilize specialized accounting software to debit, credit, and total accounts
  • Compile and keep financial records using accounting software systems
  • Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements
  • Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with other related accounting software
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting
  • Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of accounting functions and financial data.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other relevant computer programs
  • Familiarity with accounting software systems and database management
  • Understanding and ability to perform Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
  • Experience with financial record keeping, ledger maintenance, and debit/credit procedures
  • Ability to generate and manage invoices and financial statements
  • Knowledge and understanding of company policies and regulations
  • Experience with ‘About Time’ software or similar time tracking tools
  • Capable of performing ad hoc financial tasks and analysis as required
  • Ability to work with spreadsheets and manage financial data
  • Understanding of credit procedures and policies
  • Strong written communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to adhere to company policy and regulations while performing accounting functions.
