Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Des Moines, Iowa. As part of our team, you will be focused on processing accounts payable exceptions and handling accounting functions. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Handle accounts payable exception processing in a timely and accurate manner
- Utilize accounting software systems effectively to carry out tasks
- Accurately maintain customer credit records and process credit applications
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
- Use ADP – Financial Services to support accounting functions
- Employ Concur for streamlined expense management
- Conduct auditing tasks to ensure financial compliance
- Maintain accurate account coding for efficient data processing
- Utilize Automated Clearing House (ACH) for electronic money transfer
- Contribute to accrual accounting tasks as part of the wider financial team.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Account Coding is a must for this role.
- Experience with Accounting Software Systems is required.
- Familiarity with ADP – Financial Services is essential.
- Knowledge of Concur will be beneficial.
- Ability to handle Data Processing tasks efficiently.
- Understanding of basic and complex Accounting Functions.
- Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.
- Skill in Accrual Accounting is expected.
- Auditing experience will be a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) is desired.
