What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Oversee the accounts payable team and manage the processing of invoices and payments
- Ensure accuracy of payments by reviewing supporting documentation and approvals
- Collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to meet payment deadlines
- Manage invoice reconciliation and maintain documentation for 1099 reports
- Identify and implement efficiencies and improvements in accounts payable processes
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable roles
- Strong understanding of best-in-class accounts payable processes and approval frameworks
- Proficiency in MS Excel, particularly with pivot tables, and MS Office suite
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and display initiative in a growing environment
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with NetSuite or rolling out a new accounts payable system
- Strong communication skills with experience drafting templates or policies
- Analytical and leadership skills with a focus on process improvement
- Experience working with financial systems and understanding GAAP accounting
- Previous supervisory experience in an accounts payable team
