Description:

We are currently seeking a highly competent and independent Accounts and Finance Assistant to join our team. As an Accounts and Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for handling the entire accounts and finance functions for our restaurant. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in hospitality accounting and finance, and be based in Dubai, UAE.

Candidates of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they have a background in Hotel/Restaurant accounting and finance. Other applications will not be considered. The salary for this position is 5K-7K AED per month, subject to review based on performance and experience.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, including preparing forecasts, tracking expenses, and identifying variances for management review.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the restaurant’s accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payment and collection of invoices, and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including recording journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, ensuring accurate financial records.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify accuracy and completeness of financial transactions, and resolve any discrepancies.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate funds are available for daily operations, while minimizing idle cash and optimizing working capital.
Tax Compliance: Assist in tax-related activities, such as preparing and submitting VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
Inventory Management: Collaborate with the operations team to oversee inventory controls, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and reconciling discrepancies.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in hospitality accounting and finance roles, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software POS, MS Excel, and other financial tools. Knowledge of UAE accounting regulations and VAT compliance is essential.
