About the Role

We are seeking a talented Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting Solutions Team at Rehmann’s Bonita Springs office. This onsite role is vital in delivering exceptional accounting services to our clients, ensuring precise financial management and fostering strong client relationships. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in reconciling financial documents, preparing journal entries, and providing comprehensive payroll and tax support. You’ll be part of a collaborative culture, working closely with a team dedicated to exceeding client expectations and identifying opportunities for growth.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Reconcile client bank account statements to maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and enter journal entries, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation.
• Update depreciation and amortization schedules for proper asset management.
• Prepare compiled financial statements and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Handle payroll tax support, including preparing quarterly returns, W-2s, and 1099s.
• Maintain clients’ accounting software and files, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Build and foster relationships internally to encourage teamwork and collaboration.
• Deliver outstanding service to clients, ensuring a “wow” experience with each interaction.
• Contribute to the success of clients’ organizations by providing diligent accounting support.
• Identify opportunities to introduce other Rehmann specialists to existing clients for comprehensive service offerings.

Required Skills, Values & Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree, CPA certification interest, and tax return preparation experience are a plus.
• 2-5 years of experience in handling described accounting duties.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and accounting software programs; experience with Accounting CS or QuickBooks is a plus.
• Ability to complete and enter complex journal entries independently.
• Excellent client service and communication skills, with a commitment to client satisfaction.
• Ability to design basic charts of accounts and interpret financial statements.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and integrity in all professional situations.
• Willingness to travel onsite to client locations as required.
