We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join an expanding team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, adhering to company policies and procedures, and managing the month-end closing process. The ideal candidate thrives on process improvement, mentoring staff, and fostering collaboration between the accounting team and other departments to achieve excellence in property management accounting.

The Day-to-day
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of accounting professionals to foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing environment. Provide guidance and support to ensure team success.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for inquiries, requests, and special projects, while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Review and monitor the performance of outsourcing partners, addressing and resolving any issues that may arise.
- On-going responsibilities in leading the month-end close process, including financial statement reviews, resolution of accounting-related issues, and completion of other month-end procedures.
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training team members. Provide ongoing coaching and support to develop skills and enhance team performance.
- Establish and maintain consistency in financial processes, accounting practices, and reporting across the property portfolio to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
Job Qualifications
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a strong attention to detail
- Prior experience and knowledge in the reading, understanding and analysis of financial statements

- Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel
- Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word
