General Position Description:
Working under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Clerk will be responsible for the supporting accounting functions and serve as an entry-level role involving fundamental accounting data entry tasks.
As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for:
- Experience with or ability to manage and process expense reports
- Support with cash reconciliation tasks
- Ability to manage reminders for payroll and expense reports, which will involve working a few hours every other weekend
- Support with the preparation and submission of 1099 reports
- Experience or ability to manage and maintain vendor profiles
- Accurately add and track hours for subcontractors and run labor batches
- Experience with or ability to perform Accounts Payable data entry tasks
- Add and manage indirect labor codes as needed
- Perform and assist with GL entries
- Support month-end closing activities
- Post payments to AR accounts
- Assist with mapping travel expenses to credit cards
- Manage billing (including items related to travel)
- Other duties as assigned by the accounting manager
Required Education and Experience:
- An associate’s degree in accounting or a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree in progress is a plus
- Effective communication skills to address and resolve accounting issues between departments
- Attention to detail required and ability to troubleshoot issues by identifying and correcting errors in accounting batches
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and PDF and experience in JAMIS Prime is preferred
- Must be able and willing to work long or outside of core hours with limited notice
Supervision and Guidance:
The Accounting Clerk will work under the supervision of the Accounting Manager and communicate with Senior Leaders, Partners, and members of the organization at large.

Salary
Salary at Williams Adley is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is between $45,000 and $61,000 based on experience, skills, and certifications. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Williams Adley’s total compensation package for employees.
