Accountant Required Location Dubai with Construction Fit Out and SAP experience
Job Purpose:
The Accountant / Finance Controller will be responsible for on time creation of invoicing to client and accounts on a weekly and monthly basis, keeping accurate records on PL, and projects margins along cash flow forecasts. Accountant will also ensure that vendors are uploaded onto SAP and payments on time to support the project delivery teams and supply chain. Accountant will be the single point of contact for accurate detailed PL Accounts reporting for the business unit. The Accountant for the Business Unit will work closely with the Regional Finance Lead, and report to the Head of Projects.
Key Tasks:
- manage financial systems and budgets for accurate PL reporting on weekly/monthly quarterly
- liaise with clients (individuals or businesses) and provide financial information and advice
- review the overdue clients’ accounts and flag risk where necessary follow up with client
- Maintain accounting records and prepare accounts and management information for small businesses (accountancy) on individual projects and monthly reports for overall business unit.
- advise clients on business transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions (corporate finance)
- produce reports and recommendations to reflect the PL status of the Business unit
- prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts
- arrange financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting
- advise on monthly cash flow requirements
- set up payment with suppliers and claims for payments form clients
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
- SAP Knowledge and experience is essential
- Minimum of 5 years accountancy experience
- Knowledge of Fit out and Construction is an advantage
- Good all-round knowledge of finances, cost control and team work is required
- Strong business acumen in accounts reporting
- Commercial awareness of FIDIC contracts and scope of work is an advantage
- Experience of contracting and contract management.
- Proficiency with Excel PowerPoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and / or Senior Leadership.
- Chair and lead client, project and main stakeholders’ meetings, working along with Quantity Surveyors and Commercial team.
- Location will be based in Dubai
