Hiring: Experienced Medical Coder – Abu Dhabi
A healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi is currently seeking a qualified and detail-focused Medical Coder with solid experience in UAE healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate must have practical exposure to the Department of Health (DoH) Abu Dhabi guidelines, particularly in relation to JAWDA and TASNEEF audit requirements.
This is a full-time opportunity for professionals who understand clinical documentation standards and are capable of ensuring accurate medical coding while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory frameworks. Immediate joiners will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign accurate medical codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS classification systems.
- Ensure compliance with DoH Abu Dhabi coding regulations and audit standards.
- Support internal and external audits related to JAWDA and TASNEEF requirements.
- Review patient records and clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify documentation when required.
- Maintain updated knowledge of coding guidelines and healthcare compliance regulations in the UAE.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of medical coding experience within the UAE healthcare sector.
- Strong working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Hands-on experience dealing with JAWDA and TASNEEF audit processes.
- Familiarity with DoH Abu Dhabi coding policies and compliance standards.
