Overview:
We are looking for a dependable General Services Officer to manage end-to-end travel and logistics operations. The right candidate will coordinate hotel and flight bookings, oversee cargo shipments and customs paperwork, and act as the main point of contact with travel and freight vendors. Experience working with UAE government entities or non-profit organisations is highly regarded, and Arabic fluency is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
• Arrange domestic and international travel itineraries and accommodation for staff, volunteers and sponsored individuals.
• Manage visa processes, travel insurance and any special travel requirements.
• Organise cargo shipments, prepare customs documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with airlines, hotels, travel agencies and freight companies to secure services and resolve issues.
• Negotiate competitive rates while ensuring compliance with internal travel and procurement policies.
• Maintain accurate records, invoices and regular logistics reports.
• Respond quickly to booking or shipment problems and support urgent operational needs.
• Recommend improvements to travel and logistics processes to increase efficiency and control costs.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience — preferably with UAE government bodies or non-profit organisations.
• Strong background in travel coordination, cargo handling and vendor management.
• Good understanding of customs and shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
• Excellent negotiation, organisational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with booking systems.
• Fluent Arabic is highly preferred.
