Restrata is recruiting for the role of Senior Security Consultant, with a focus on the Built Environment and Energy Sectors.
We are looking for an experienced Strategic and Technical Design consultant to join our team in #Dubai. If you are interested in joining a dynamic team in a growing company
Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the Head of Consultancy within the security practice, this role is principally
Concerned with supporting the strategic advisory services to clients, to help them evaluate and manage
Their security related risks, and then transforming protection objectives (derived from the assessment of
Their risks) into mitigation measures through phased engineering design.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
The role requires an experienced senior consultant with expertise in a risk-based approach to design in the built environment and energy sectors. A person who has been consulting in a FEED
Environment for between 10 – 15 years, at least 5 years where he/she has managed consulting assignments of greater than $500K fee
The role requires experience in the built environment and energy sectors, for architects, engineers, major oil companies and EPC’s
The individual should be able to plan consulting assignments – schedules, costing, resource plans and bills of materials
The individual must have experience in writing proposals and bids, and have an understanding of project finance, contracts and commercials
The role will involve the security consulting in conducting Strategic Risk Assessments and Threat and Vulnerability Assessments. It will also involve capturing clients’ operational requirements and critical success factors, managing stakeholder engagement and running requirements and master-planning workshops with clients and stakeholders, as a prelude to producing a technical security design
Further, the job will involve supporting the Sales Team and the Head of Consultancy in the production of proposals and bids and in ensuring projects go through the proper review and governance process
In addition, the consultant must support the ‘win business’ process. The consultant must therefore have an understanding of other areas of expertise in the following areas:
- Project and program management
- Risk analysis and management (quantified risk management techniques)
- Cyber security
- Security engineering and design
- Counter terrorism engineering – blast, ballistics, CBRN
- Command & control, PSIM and systems integration
Essential Capabilities/Skills:
The candidate must have the following skills:
- Conduct and lead the SRA process
- Secure by design / CPTED Master-planning
- Business analysis and requirements engineering
- Threat and vulnerability assessments
- Geopolitical risk and CT design
- The ability to negotiate and brief external agencies including relevant MOI and police advisors
Experience/Qualifications:
The candidate should have experience in:
- Secure by design process & CPTED Analysis
- Working as part of multi-disciplinary design teams within the built environment and energy sector
- Providing threat-based design guidance for security systems to clients covering:
- Physical protection systems (gates, barriers etc.)
- Electronic systems (CCTV, Access Control etc.)
- Command and control
- Systems integration
- Security operational procedures and emergency planning
- Information Assurance
- Producing specifications for security systems design
- Project managing multi-disciplinary teams within the technical security space
- Proposal writing and bid submissions
- The candidate must have successfully delivered Stage C and SRA work packages in the built
- environment within Europe, Asia and the GCC region
The following qualifications are desirable:
Member of a professional body that is relevant to the technical security environment (such as but not limited to):
- IEE
- CLAS
- CISSP
- APM
- ICE
- ASIS
- CIMC
- CEng
A master’s degree in a relevant security or consulting discipline is desirable
Project management qualifications (Prince 2 / APM /PMP etc.)
