Description:

We are looking for a Logistics Assistant for Our client that is a multinational automotive group based in Jebel Ali.

Company multinational automotive group based in Jebel Ali. They are currently recruiting a Logistics Assistant (Import & Export) with practical work knowledge of import and export documentation in a trading environment. This individual will report to the Logistics Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The main objective of this job is to arrange shipping documents without any discrepancies in a timely manner and to coordinate with suppliers/customers/forwarders & clearing agents for shipping.
  • Execution of export documentation requirements for shipment which include letter of credit shipment, commercial invoice, etc. Ensure that all documentation meets export regulations.
  • Preparing documents from chamber of commerce and attestation by embassy.
  • Coordinating with the forwarder/clearing agents for custom clearing and receipt of import shipments.
  • Communication with concerned parties for import/export shipments and must know the status of all shipments.
  • Documentation and data entry for all shipments including assisting logistic manager with daily functions.
  • Controlling and following up on shipment for several countries at one time.
  • Broad logistics knowledge required to independently manage 50 export documents (including letter of credit) at one time.
  • Payment control to supplier and from customer.

Requirements

  • Knowledge, Skill & Experience:
  • Education: Graduate from University
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Logistics preferably handling letter of credit

Technical Skill:

  • Strong hands-on experience in supply chain & logistics system.
  • Strong Knowledge in finance costs including letter of credit
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Fluent in English
