Description:
SmartAsset is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to join our team on a contract basis. This role supports the Engineering, Product, Data, and AI teams, driving full-cycle recruiting for critical technical and product roles. You will act as a strategic partner to leadership, shaping recruiting strategies, improving hiring processes, and ensuring exceptional candidate experiences. The position combines hands-on recruiting execution with process improvement, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with leadership across Engineering, Product, Data, and AI to understand hiring priorities and develop strategic recruiting plans
• Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and product roles, from intake through offer and closing
• Source, engage, and assess top talent using LinkedIn, niche platforms, communities, and personal networks
• Build and maintain diverse, high-quality talent pipelines aligned with current and future hiring needs
• Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers on market trends, candidate expectations, compensation, and interview best practices
• Continuously improve recruiting processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality of hire
• Use recruiting data and market intelligence to guide hiring strategies and pipeline health
• Maintain accurate metrics and pipeline tracking to communicate progress and support decision-making
Requirements:
• 5+ years of technical and product recruiting experience, preferably in high-growth or fast-paced environments
• Experience hiring across multiple technical and product disciplines, including Software Engineering, Product Management, Data, and AI/ML roles
• Proven ability to develop scalable, repeatable recruiting processes and best practices
• Strong expertise in traditional and advanced sourcing techniques
• Track record of building diverse, high-quality talent pipelines
• Excellent partnership skills for cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, HR, Compensation, and Operations teams
• Data-driven approach using recruiting metrics to inform decisions
• Strong time management and ability to operate independently in a remote or distributed environment
