About the Role:
TDCC is looking for a compassionate and experienced Special Education Needs Teacher to join its team in Abu Dhabi. This full-time, on-site role involves working closely with children, families, and educational institutions to provide comprehensive academic, behavioral, and developmental support tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on each child’s requirements
- Deliver structured learning sessions and facilitate engaging educational activities
- Provide behavioral and developmental support to children with diverse abilities
- Collaborate with parents, schools, and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic development
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, General Education, Psychology, Social Work, Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience working with children with special needs
- Strong understanding of disabilities, early childhood education, and special education practices
- Knowledge of developmental psychology and effective teaching methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
Mandatory Criteria:
- Degree equivalency certificate issued by the UAE Ministry of Education
- Attested degree certificate from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA)
- Candidates must currently be based in the UAE and willing to work in Abu Dhabi
