A reputable organization is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to handle financial reporting and tax-related responsibilities for its US-based operations, while being based in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals who have a strong understanding of US GAAP standards and experience managing complex taxation processes, particularly within the real estate sector.
The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and efficient coordination with auditors and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and manage complete sets of financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements in strict adherence to US GAAP standards.
- Tax Compliance: Handle US federal and state tax requirements, including preparation and coordination of filings such as K-1s and Form 1065.
- Real Estate Accounting: Oversee industry-specific accounting tasks including CAM reconciliations, lease accounting processes, and capital expenditure tracking.
- Audit & Treasury Functions: Manage month-end closing procedures, oversee banking activities including wire transfers, handle inter-company reconciliations, and act as the main point of contact for external auditors.
Requirements:
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar accounting role with strong expertise in US GAAP.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA qualification will be considered a strong advantage.
- Industry Exposure: Prior experience in real estate or investment firms will be highly beneficial.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Zoho Books, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Candidates must currently be based in Dubai or willing to relocate to the UAE for this opportunity.
