The Product Operations team within Airbnb plays a critical role in supporting Fraud and Safety Investigations (FSI). This team serves as the analytical and strategic backbone of operations, transforming complex operational data into actionable insights that influence product direction, policy decisions, and business strategy. The team works closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Policy stakeholders to ensure operational alignment and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will lead key operational domains such as fraud detection, listing verification, or content moderation. You will act as a strategic partner across multiple teams, ensuring that operational realities are reflected in product planning and execution. Your insights will directly influence roadmaps, risk mitigation strategies, and the success of major product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze operational data to identify root causes and translate findings into clear business and product recommendations
• Lead weekly business reviews (WBRs), explaining metric changes and ensuring accountability for follow-up actions
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmaps and ensure operational readiness for new launches
• Monitor operational health metrics such as queue performance, SLA adherence, and decision accuracy
• Identify, escalate, and coordinate resolution of system issues such as bugs, workflow failures, and routing problems across teams
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for operational disruptions and ensure long-term fixes are implemented
• Transform frontline and agent feedback into structured insights that guide product and policy improvements
• Drive cross-functional alignment and ensure that operational insights lead to measurable business impact
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in product operations, trust & safety, program management, or similar analytical roles
• Strong ability to influence stakeholders using data-driven insights and structured reasoning
• Proven experience in identifying root causes and translating data into actionable strategies
• Experience building feedback loops between frontline operations and product teams
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL preferred and advanced Excel required
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana or similar platforms
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when presenting to executive-level stakeholders
