Description:
A healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Midwife with a specialization in breastfeeding and lactation support. This role is ideal for professionals dedicated to maternal and newborn care, with a strong focus on promoting healthy postnatal recovery and strengthening maternal-infant bonding.

The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting new mothers and their families by providing expert guidance on breastfeeding practices, newborn care, and overall maternal wellbeing, both in clinical and home care environments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough postnatal assessments for mothers and newborns to ensure proper recovery and identify any early complications
• Provide evidence-based breastfeeding and lactation support, including assistance with latch techniques, positioning, milk supply, and discomfort management
• Educate families on infant nutrition, expressing and storing breast milk, and safe newborn care practices
• Identify and manage breastfeeding-related challenges such as low milk supply, mastitis, and tongue-tie issues
• Encourage early bonding between mother and infant through supportive care and guidance
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including nurses, dietitians, psychologists, and social workers
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with Department of Health (DoH) regulations
• Participate in awareness initiatives and educational programs promoting breastfeeding and maternal health

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery or Nursing with a specialization in Midwifery
• Active DoH license or eligibility to practice in Abu Dhabi is mandatory
• Additional certification in Lactation Counseling or IBCLC is preferred
• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in postnatal or maternal-child healthcare
• Prior experience in family education or community-based healthcare programs is an added advantage
