Description:
Sharjah Sustainable City is looking for a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Site Engineer to oversee on-site mechanical works across its real estate and infrastructure projects in Sharjah. The role involves ensuring that all mechanical systems are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, and authority regulations.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in supervising site activities, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring high-quality delivery of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and gas systems. This position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to manage multiple site activities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily mechanical installation works as per approved drawings and specifications
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and gas system installations
• Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams for smooth execution
• Inspect site work, monitor material quality, and report any deviations
• Conduct inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging, and support project handover
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, safety requirements, and project timelines
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4–7 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and gas systems
• Proven site supervision experience in UAE or GCC projects
• Familiarity with UAE authority regulations (Municipality, Civil Defense, SEWA, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and coordination plans
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Revit/BIM is an advantage)
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of:
• Mechanical systems installation and supervision
• QA/QC standards and site inspection procedures
• UAE construction authority requirements
