Steel Construction Company is currently hiring a motivated Junior Accountant to join its finance team in the UAE. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are beginning their accounting career and wish to gain practical experience in a dynamic, project-driven construction environment. The role focuses on supporting core accounting functions related to construction projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial processing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in day-to-day accounting operations within the construction finance department
• Maintain accurate financial records and support project-based accounting activities
• Handle job costing processes and ensure proper allocation of project expenses
• Support progress billing activities and coordinate with project teams
• Manage subcontractor payment records and assist in payment processing
• Prepare financial data and reports using accounting systems and Excel
• Assist senior accountants in month-end closing and reconciliations
• Ensure documentation is properly maintained and updated as per company standards
Requirements:
• 1 to 2 years of accounting experience specifically in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of job costing, progress billing, and subcontractor payments
• Proficiency in Tally, Zoho, and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
• Only candidates with direct construction industry experience will be considered
