Description:
Cemex UAE, a prominent name in the building materials industry, is looking to hire a qualified Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee and manage the performance and upkeep of its ready-mix fleet across the UAE. Reporting directly to the RM Operations Manager, this role focuses on ensuring maximum fleet uptime, improving maintenance efficiency, controlling operational costs, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards while promoting a strong safety culture aligned with ZERO4LIFE.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure high availability and reliability of truck mixers, pumps, and other fleet vehicles.
• Develop and implement preventive as well as predictive maintenance plans to minimize downtime.
• Supervise and mentor workshop teams, ensuring productivity, discipline, and adherence to safety standards.
• Enforce health, safety, and compliance measures, including LOTOTO procedures, permit-to-work systems, and safe workshop operations.
• Manage maintenance budgets effectively while identifying opportunities to enhance cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure quality service delivery and cost control.
• Handle breakdown situations promptly and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent future occurrences.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators such as fleet availability, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance costs for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, including RTA requirements like vehicle registration, inspections, and environmental standards.
• Work closely with operations teams to support production targets and delivery schedules.
• Maintain compliance with international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in fleet maintenance and heavy equipment management.
Technical & Operational Skills:
• Strong technical knowledge of truck mixers, pumps, generators, compressors, and workshop equipment.
• Proven experience in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, vehicles, and material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with earthmoving equipment and industrial maintenance challenges.
• Understanding of ready-mix concrete operations and their impact on fleet performance.
• Knowledge of UAE RTA regulations related to fleet compliance and road safety.
• Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
