About the Role:
Deloitte is actively seeking a skilled Finance / Payroll Accountant to join its Dubai office. This role focuses on managing payroll-related financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting accurate financial reporting within a dynamic global professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle payroll accounting activities including recording transactions, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts
- Prepare detailed payroll-related financial reports, cost analysis, and monthly reconciliations
- Manage month-end and year-end payroll closing processes, including accruals and adjustments
- Perform payroll reconciliations, analyze variances, and maintain high data accuracy
- Oversee payroll tax accounting, ensuring compliance with regulations and proper reporting
- Strengthen financial controls and provide meaningful insights to support management decisions
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in payroll accounting
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, financial reporting, and reconciliation practices
- Proficiency in ERP systems and payroll software
- Good knowledge of IFRS and standard accounting principles
- Experience working in the UAE or within multinational/professional services environments is preferred
