Description:
Gutmann ME Group is looking to hire a creative and experienced Designer to join its Steel Division. This role is well-suited for someone who has a strong background in steel design and fabrication, along with a keen eye for detail, structure, and visual appeal. The ideal candidate should be capable of turning concepts into practical and visually impressive steel solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and precision.
What We’re Looking For:
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in steel design and fabrication work
• Demonstrated expertise in designing steel structures and custom components
• Practical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques
• Experience working on architectural metal features such as handrails, pergolas, gates, fences, mashrabiya cladding, and perforated metal sheets
• Strong skills in both graphic design and technical drafting (2D and 3D)
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and deliver projects within set timelines
• Experience preparing detailed shop drawings and technical documentation
Key Responsibilities:
• Create innovative designs for steel structures and decorative metal elements across various projects
• Develop and prepare technical drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and material take-offs (MTOs)
• Ensure designs meet a balance of aesthetics, functionality, and structural stability
