The company is currently seeking a Compensation Analyst to join its People and Compensation function. This role is designed for a detail-oriented and analytical professional who will support compensation strategy, modeling, benchmarking, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate closely with Compensation Program Managers, Finance, People Analytics, and Talent teams to ensure Stripe’s compensation programs remain competitive, fair, and scalable as the company grows.
In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing compensation data, supporting annual pay reviews, and improving internal compensation processes. You will also help maintain accurate systems and tools while ensuring compliance and consistency in global compensation practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth compensation analysis and financial modeling to support program design and strategic decision-making
- Contribute to annual salary benchmarking and compensation review cycles across global teams
- Collaborate with external vendors to ensure compensation datasets are accurate, complete, and up to date
- Build and maintain compensation dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical templates to support leadership decisions
- Work closely with People Operations and Finance teams to ensure compensation data accuracy across systems such as HRIS (Workday)
- Support the design and execution of annual compensation planning programs and policies
- Conduct research on compensation trends, policies, and market standards to inform internal strategies
- Analyze large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and improve compensation processes and efficiency
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or related consulting roles
- Strong knowledge of global compensation structures, benchmarking, and market analysis
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills with experience building complex financial models
- Experience working with programming languages such as SQL, Python, or similar tools
- Ability to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable communication for stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data handling and reporting
- Familiarity with equity compensation programs and compliance requirements
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including Finance, HR, and Analytics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Workday and/or Tableau reporting tools
- Exposure to Workday Advanced Compensation modules
- Experience handling equity compensation in private or public companies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
