Description:
US Anesthesia Partners is seeking an experienced Cash Management Specialist III to join its remote team. This position is suited for a highly skilled professional with strong expertise in payment posting and revenue cycle management (RCM), along with advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
The role focuses on handling complex cash management functions, ensuring accurate payment processing, and resolving discrepancies efficiently. Candidates should be comfortable working independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. Please note that applicants residing in California, Hawaii, or Alaska are not eligible for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Access banking or clearinghouse systems to retrieve electronic remittance details
• Match and verify Explanation of Benefits (EOB) with deposit batches
• Identify and post payments to the correct patient accounts and encounters
• Ensure accuracy in associating payments with insurance providers and service dates
• Verify posted amounts align with EOB documentation
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and patient information
• Follow company compliance standards, policies, and procedures at all times
• Investigate and resolve issues related to patient invoices and payment discrepancies
• Support month-end closing activities within the cash management function
• Review and transfer payments accurately according to established workflows
• Meet departmental productivity targets and performance metrics
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 4+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in RCM functions
• Experience with AthenaIDX or similar systems is preferred
• Familiarity with zero-pay remits, balance forwarding, and offsets is advantageous
• Understanding of EOB denial and adjustment codes
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Solid mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong attention to detail and adaptability to changing workloads
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism
