JAGF is currently inviting applications for the position of Assistant Accountant to join its growing team in Dubai. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who are ready to take on financial responsibilities and contribute to a dynamic organization within the aluminium and glass industry. Immediate joiners will be given preference.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, including maintaining accurate billing records and supporting documentation. You will also handle accounts payable functions by ensuring timely processing of invoices, verifying the accuracy of liabilities, and obtaining necessary approvals before payments are made.
The position requires regular updating of financial data using accounting software such as TALLY ERP9 or similar systems. You will also assist in collecting payroll-related information and ensuring proper entries are recorded in the accounting system.
Additionally, you will support the preparation of quarterly budgets under the guidance of senior management. Analyzing financial statements and assisting in the preparation of balance sheets will also be part of your core responsibilities.
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and possess at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including tools like pivot tables and VLOOKUP, is essential. A solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations and filing procedures is also required.
