Hiring: Accountant – Fit-Out / Joinery Industry
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our team in the fit-out and joinery sector. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in project-based accounting for construction, woodwork, or joinery projects who are confident managing project financials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue project invoices, including advance, progress, and retention-based billing
- Track project-related expenses, payments, and transactions
- Maintain accurate Statements of Account (SOAs) for clients and suppliers
- Coordinate with procurement to generate purchase orders
- Monitor cash flow and prepare financial forecasts
- Follow up on payments and manage collections efficiently
- Oversee inventory movements and maintain proper documentation
- Assist in monthly reporting and audits
- Prepare financial reports for project handovers or certifications
Requirements:
- Proven experience in accounting for joinery or fit-out projects
- Solid understanding of project-based accounting and payment terms
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, or Xero
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication
