Job Profile:
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in DIFC. The role is responsible for maintaining strong internal controls, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and delivering timely, accurate financial information and analysis to support management decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate finance requests and accompanying documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Post and reconcile all transactions in the accounting system promptly and maintain up-to-date ledgers.
- Manage period closings including monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures.
- Prepare and present financial reports, budget analyses, and timely management information.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, accounting standards, and internal control policies.
- Support implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and process improvements.
- Recommend and document accounting procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Monitor legislative changesaffecting financial and reporting requirements and adapt practices accordingly.
- Assist leadership with forecasting, budgeting, and investment/financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Auditing.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting or a comparable role within the region.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and standard accounting procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable preparing professional financial communications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is an advantage.
